How does partner matching work?
You and your partner connect with an invite code, then each swipe on your own. When you both love the same name, it shows up as a match.
Do we both need the app?
Matching works best when you’re both swiping, but you can absolutely start solo. Build your own list first and invite your partner whenever you’re ready.

Every name comes with meaning, origin, pronunciation and popularity drawn from regional datasets. Pick your country and see how popular each name is where you live.
Is it free?
Baby What? is free to download and start swiping. A single one-time purchase unlocks unlimited swipes, the full shared match list and head-to-head ranking, and it covers both connected parents. There is no subscription.
